About us and Our beliefs
Queensway Free Methodist Church is a fellowship of people who have entered into an intimate relationship with God through faith in Jesus.
This relationship involves the forgiveness of our sins, made possible through Jesus
who “bore our sins in His body” on the Cross.
It also involves a new life which is made possible by the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.
As part of a denomination called The Free Methodist Church in Canada,
we are connected with other congregations across Canada.
The Free Methodist Church globally serves in approximately 70 other countries.
Although each congregation is different, we do share a common set of beliefs and commitments.

Our pastors
Pastor Brian Hornibrook and his wife Susan, joined the Queensway family as Lead Pastor on August 1st, having traveled from BC to participate in the ministry Jesus is doing in here in the Falls. His love for Jesus and the community is evident in everything he does, and he looks forward to welcoming you and getting to know you. He wrote:
Susan and I are delighted to come alongside the Queensway family to continue to minister to the community with Jesus as we seek to build the Kingdom for His glory.
I was born and raised in Montreal and am a die-hard Habs fan, my apologies to any Leafs fans, I will certainly pray for you :) Susan is a Pittsburg Penguins/Sidney Crosby fan. If it’s any consolation, I am a die-hard Jays fan. Susan was born and raised in Dartmouth Nova Scotia. Most of her family is in Nova Scotia with the exception of her Mom, Joyce, who has traveled with us. All of my family are scattered around the GTA, Orillia and Gravenhurst. My Mom, whose name is also Joyce, lives in Toronto.
I was ordained in 2005 with the Presbyterian Church in Canada and have served Christ’s church, preaching faithfully the Gospel of Jesus Christ, first in Thompson Manitoba which is 8.5 hours north-east of Winnipeg. I then received a call to go to Halifax where I witnessed God move in exciting ways within the body, not the least of which was meeting Susan. We married in June 2012 at the church I served and we had a wonderful reception in the church hall with the congregation, family and friends joining us in the celebration. In 2013 we moved to New Westminster, BC where I served the Presbyterian church and then transitioned to the Free Methodist Church where I found my theological fit and feel most at home. I served a small congregation for 4 years before accepting the appointment in Niagara Falls. All of my ministry has been serving smaller congregations; and I see it as a joy and a blessing to serve with Godly Christ-followers who love Jesus and His church.
Susan and I are very casual and aren’t big on formalities or titles, but we recognize that some people aren’t comfortable referring to their pastor by their first name. That being said, I am comfortable with Pastor Brian, or just Brian, and Susan likewise, whatever you are comfortable with.
We believe God is going to do some amazing things for His glory in and through His church as we seek to move forward in the ministry Jesus is doing in our midst at Queensway FMC. We are excited to be part of the Queensway family.
Yours in Christ’s service,
Brian and Susan Hornibrook
